Technology, Leadership, and Impact from Silicon Valley to Brazil (By Amanda Lins)
Representing LALA in the delegation to BSV (Brazil at Silicon Valley) was a transformative experience. LALA selected five young individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, united by a common purpose: to strengthen our roles as references in leadership, innovation, and technology.
Being at BSV gave me the opportunity to learn from leaders I admire, understanding their areas of work and how they are transforming the Brazilian landscape. As someone with a technical background, my main goal was to explore cutting-edge technologies and the strategies that leading professionals use to drive their businesses forward.
Brazil is a country of continental dimensions—I often say that there are many “Brazils” within one. Because of this, through the event and my interactions with startups, I recognized the urgency of adapting technological solutions so they can truly be democratic and accessible to different audiences.
Beyond the event itself, I experienced incredible moments with LALA while visiting hubs such as Google X and Bloomberg. These visits were essential in generating valuable insights into innovation on a global scale. I leave this experience with extremely valuable connections and the conviction that I am on the right path to becoming a technical leader capable of developing high-impact projects.
LALA was highly intentional in providing the delegation with this deep immersion in Silicon Valley. I return to Salvador with a wealth of ideas and renewed energy to help democratize these technologies, serving as a bridge for people who come from backgrounds like mine.
