Graduated in Pedagogy from UERJ, Iana deeply believes in the transformative power of education—a conviction that naturally led her to the field of People Management. For her, every person carries within them the potential for transformation, and often, all that’s missing for a true life change is an opportunity. It is in this purpose that she finds meaning in her work: contributing to making these opportunities happen.
Her professional journey began in education, with diverse experiences: from educational mediation in museums, working in after-school programs in public schools, education in non-formal spaces, and later, in the classroom, providing professional training to Young Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Law.
Her encounter with the Human Resources field happened when she was invited to structure the Training and Development department of a company, where she eventually served as a manager. From then on, she discovered her passion for developing people and building more humane and efficient work environments across various companies.
Being a Black woman defines who Iana is and the impact she wants to make in the world. The racial agenda is non-negotiable and irreversible—it is the core of her vision for justice and transformation. Always engaged with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, she found in the nonprofit sector the path to aligning purpose and profession, working intentionally to create fairer, more representative, and powerful spaces.
Currently, she leads the HR department at LALA Brasil, with the mission of attracting, developing, and retaining talent, fostering a collaborative, efficient, and values-aligned work environment. Her goal is to drive an engaged, motivated, and prepared team to transform Latin America.
