LALA is excited to announce Kara Johnson as our new Chief of Staff! Kara found us as a graduate student and has since worked her way across the org to support LALA’s strategy and growth.
Kara will be transitioning out of her position as Manager of Internal Development, where she leads various departments and teams, to a Chief of Staff role where she can focus on more directly supporting LALA’s leadership in their efforts to build and grow sustainable infrastructure and team health to scale LALA’s impact.
“Since Kara joined the team, she’s exemplified day in and day out her passion for systemic change and her genuine commitment to serve and empower others. From improving how we collaborate and coordinate internally to how we understand and communicate LALA’s strategy and theory of change to external partners, Kara’s impact has been felt across the org. We are excited to celebrate her new role as Chief of Staff, a role that will allow her to have even more impact on LALA and Latin America!” LALA’s co-founder and CEO, Diego Ontaneda, shared.
Kara is excited to work more with everyone on staff on discrete, strategic projects and to identify, energize, and mobilize the organizational and cultural leverage points that will enable LALA to truly scale and achieve systemic change in Latin America.
