LALA helped me to see that imperfectness was not so bad
Chiara Ingravallo is originally from Venezuela but now lives in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is 20 years old and is preparing to enter university to study Film and TV Production in the United Kingdom, England. She is very passionate about art as well as very curious to learn new things. She worked as LALA Trainee Manager in VLB6, the first virtual camp in Spanish.
Chiara’s path to social change began in high school when she undertook a project related to ecology. “This was one of the projects that changed my life and made me join LALA, which is why I think it’s important.” This helped Chiara to realize that the ideas that young people have can be accomplished, and it changed her perspective on how young people can initiate change from an early age. This was one of the main things that introduced Chiara to the world of leadership and entrepreneurship. This was a plus to be able to enter calls and initiatives of this type.
On the other hand, Chiara is a young woman passionate about art, and as a result of the pandemic, she began to share her work through an Instagram page. For Chiara, art is one of the ways to express everything she feels and to be able to share it with the outside world. @themushroomdreamer is the Instagram account where Chiara shares her artwork and the wonders she is doing. The artworks she shares have a different meaning for her.
What Chiara has liked most about the projects she has been involved in so far has been the role of Trainee Manager. This is due to the fact that she is a very curious person and is always learning. This experience has been one of the most enriching for her because she learned things that will not only serve her in the present but also in the future and for her personal growth. The LALA Mentorship Program was as well one of the experiences that have helped Chiara the most. Connecting with a mentor during these past 4 months was a wonderful experience for her.
One of the things that LALA changed in Chiara was the humanization of her leadership, as well as the confidence she must have in herself. The bootcamp in Mexico (MLB1) was one of the most rewarding experiences for her.
“LALA helped me to see that imperfectness was not so bad”
She also says that she is still living the experience of being in bootcamp as a coach of MBL2 and Trainee Manager in VLB6, where she continues to have more teachings and open herself to the community showing the leadership that characterizes her.
Chiara Ingravallo is another of our brilliant students who has been doing extraordinary work to improve her community. Her work in teaching leadership has impacted many Latin American students through her volunteer work. I can assure you that Chiara is one of the many young people who have been working to have the society she dreams of, both in the country where she lives and in Latin America! That is why we at LALA are more than delighted to have the opportunity to tell Chiara’s story, and we look forward to continuing to follow her growth!
