Marta is a young activist dedicated to defending the rights of girls and women. Born into a rural farming family as the eighth child, she believes it’s impossible to discuss climate justice without a gender lens. Her journey is defined by grassroots work, empathetic listening, and co-creating solutions with communities. Currently, she serves as a Mobilization Analyst at Mapa do Acolhimento (Welcome Map), where she develops strategies to strengthen social networks and expand access to public services supporting women in vulnerable situations. She is also the founder of Asé Lab, an innovation and impact lab focused on quilombola communities, with a mission to make education, income, and employment more accessible—driving tangible social change.
