About Us

LALA is a nonprofit organization committed to developing a new generation of diverse, entrepreneurial, and ethical leaders who will serve the Latin American region.

We identify high-potential, purpose-driven young people between the ages of 14 and 20—many of whom come from historically marginalized communities—and provide them with access to programs that develop leadership, entrepreneurship, social innovation, social-emotional learning, and critical thinking skills. LALíderes become part of a lifelong community of changemakers and partner organizations working to address the region’s most pressing challenges.

Diversity and inclusion are core values at LALA. Given the history of elitism, racism, sexism, homophobia, and discrimination in Latin America, we seek to contribute to changing this reality not only through LALA, but also within LALA itself. We value diversity in identities, lived experiences, skills, perspectives, and worldviews. We believe diversity makes us stronger and smarter. We know that our diversity will inspire more young Latin Americans to pursue even greater goals. Therefore, we strongly encourage candidates from identities and communities historically underrepresented in leadership positions to apply for this and all other positions at LALA!

The Field

The Development and Communications team works to strengthen LALA’s presence, relevance, and positioning by connecting our mission and impact with the different audiences that make up our network. It is a strategic area focused on brand building, institutional communications, stakeholder engagement, and the development of fundraising and partnership opportunities.

In collaboration with different teams across LALA Brazil and with the global team, the area transforms strategies, results, and impact stories into content, campaigns, relationships, and opportunities that increase the organization’s visibility and strengthen its sustainability.
