Fernanda is a social scientist and a master’s candidate in Social Anthropology at the University of São Paulo (USP). Her choice of field was driven by a desire: “to be the change you wish to see in the world.” Since then, during her undergraduate studies, she completed an academic exchange at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and during her master’s degree, she did a research period at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa. As an anthropologist, she learned to value different cultural perspectives and how we can learn from each other to build a better world.
For about 10 years, she has worked on social impact projects, especially in the area of education, and has been developing her skills in project management and research. She is passionate about data and how we can tell stories through it to enable better decision-making.
As an admissions analyst, Fernanda works in the area that is the gateway for future LALeaders, overseeing the entire process of outreach, application, and entry into the LALA community.
