About Us

The Latin American Leadership Academy (LALA) is transforming Latin America by developing a new generation of ethical, innovative, and impact-driven young leaders. Since 2018, we’ve trained over 2,600 youth from 17+ countries—70% from underrepresented backgrounds and 70% women. Our alumni have launched 500+ social impact projects reaching 200,000+ people.

LALA is evolving into a hub-based model, launching national hubs across the region while LALA Global leads collaboration, innovation, and values alignment. The GLC is one of LALA Global’s flagship initiatives.

The Field

LALA is launching a bold, multi-phase initiative to create the Global Leadership Center (GLC) in Brazil—a permanent space to cultivate Latin America’s next generation of transformative leaders. The GLC will host immersive in-person programs, reconnect alumni through intergenerational networks, and serve as a global reference for place-based, values-driven leadership development built in the Global South.

LALA Global is now seeking a strategic consultant to help drive Phase 1 of this initiative—performing a benchmark analysis, validating the concept, aligning key stakeholders, and shaping the initial business and program model and creating a roadmap for the subsequent phases. This is a fast-paced role working across multiple stakeholders—perfect for a strategic doer with high agility and a bias for action and delivery.  The ideal candidate will bring sharp thinking, clear communication, and a hands-on attitude to help us move quickly from idea to decision point.

We expect a 6–8 month engagement based on deliverables, with the possibility of continued involvement as the project advances into later phases.

  • Create a roadmap for subsequent phases

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate input from internal team members, advisors, and key partners
  • Help prep committee and board meetings (documentation, decks etc.)
  • Prepare decks and briefing materials for decision-making moments
  • Support fundraising efforts where possible
  • Support communication and alignment across working groups and committees
  • Support stakeholder engagement including meeting pre, scheduling, and follow-up

Profile

  • 5+ years experience in consulting, strategy, or program design (leadership, education, or early-stage ventures a strong plus)
  • Proven track record of moving complex initiatives forward under time pressure
  • Fundraising skills are a big advantage
  • Outstanding communication, synthesis, and facilitation skills
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to work independently in ambiguity
  • Ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders with clarity and tact
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus
