LALA welcomes Carolina Llosa as the inaugural CEO of LALA Peru
Latin American Leadership Academy (LALA) is thrilled to welcome Carolina Llosa as the inaugural CEO of LALA Peru, marking an exciting new chapter as LALA expands its presence across Latin America.
Carolina brings more than two decades of experience across the social impact, philanthropic, and private sectors, with a career focused on building partnerships, mobilizing resources, and turning ambitious ideas into action. As the Founder and Director of SUCEDE, a U.S.-based nonprofit connecting donors with innovative social initiatives in Peru, and through her work with organizations including the Peruvian Ministry of Education, MALI, and Yanbal, she has built a strong track record in strategy, fundraising, partnerships, and social impact.
Across these experiences, Carolina has developed a strong ability to bring people together, cultivate meaningful relationships, and turn a shared vision into action. Combined with her deep roots in Peru and her belief in the power of young people to transform their communities, she is uniquely positioned to build LALA’s community and impact in Peru.
“I strongly believe in the leadership development ecosystem LALA has built: a model that identifies and develops the potential of young leaders, connects them to a regional community, and supports their growth through mentorship, career guidance, access to higher education opportunities, and social-emotional learning,” said Carolina Llosa, CEO of LALA Peru. I’m excited to expand this impact in Peru and bring these opportunities to more young people.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Carolina to LALA,” said David Baptista, co-Founder and Executive Director of LALA Global. “She brings an exceptional combination of strategic thinking, social impact experience, and entrepreneurial energy. Carolina understands the Peruvian ecosystem deeply, and she adds a regional perspective that will be incredibly valuable as we build LALA Peru and connect it to the broader LALA community across Latin America.”
“This moment is especially important for me,” said Diego Ontaneda, co-founder and President of LALA Global. “It’s a form of homecoming—finally bringing LALA to the country where I spent the first half of my life, and where my family still lives. I feel confident that Carolina is the right steward for our mission in Peru, and I’m thrilled to see how LALA will deepen its reach, increase its impact, and evolve to best serve the Peruvian context under her leadership!”
The launch of LALA Peru marks an important step in LALA’s vision to build a movement of leaders grounded in integrity and purpose, equipped to create lasting change for Latin America. As LALA’s first Spanish-speaking hub, LALA Peru will bring more young leaders into the movement, connecting them across the region and equipping them to shape the future of their communities and Latin America.
Carolina holds a degree in Communications from the University of Lima and a Master’s in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from the London School of Economics. She has also completed executive education in Sustainable Business Strategy at Harvard Business School, along with additional studies in sustainability and social responsibility.
Please join us in welcoming Carolina to the LALA community and celebrating this exciting new chapter in Peru.
