Beatriz Martins is a Media Studies student at Fluminense Federal University (UFF), a proud Carioca passionate about Rio de Janeiro, and a member of the Communications team at the Latin American Leadership Academy (LALA). Outgoing and deeply communicative, she is driven by a passion for storytelling and sees journalism, design, and integrated communications as living, human ways to connect people and causes.
Her journey in communications began at the age of 11. From founding the Media Club at Colégio Militar de Manaus to leading press teams at Model United Nations (MUNs), where she covered debates through a historical and critical lens, Beatriz has always used media as a tool for analysis and listening. With experience hosting events, writing articles, and conducting more than a hundred interviews, as well as developing independent projects in photography, audio, and design, she sees content production as a bridge for preserving memories, democratizing narratives, and creating social impact.
Her story with LALA began at camp, where she became a LALíder and experienced the strength of the community firsthand. After participating in employability workshops, socio-emotional development programs, and mentorships, as well as working as a camp guide, Beatriz joined the Communications team, helping strengthen the network and translate the essence of the organization into stories that connect young people across Latin America.
For someone who recharges her energy by exchanging ideas and being around people, Beatriz believes that thoughtful and authentic communication is essential to giving visibility to diverse voices, building meaningful bridges, and driving collective change.
