As part of LALA’s programs, University Placement (UP) offers free support, together with program partners, to help academically outstanding students engaged in social impact activities apply to undergraduate programs at U.S. universities.
We seek a diverse group of students with varied backgrounds, lived experiences, and academic interests. University Placement does not restrict students’ academic choices. We have accepted students interested in Business and Entrepreneurship, Communication and Journalism, Education, Engineering, Fine and Applied Arts, Humanities, Mathematics and Computer Science, Physics and Life Sciences, Social Sciences, and much more!
Duration: University Placement is a 12-month virtual program.
Obs: The 2026/27 cohort, which is currently in the selection process, will begin in June 2026 and is expected to conclude in March 2027.
*Brazilian students who are not part of LALA are eligible to apply for this opportunity!
Through a rigorous selection process that includes applicants from across Latin America, we open our applications annually. During the process, we review personal, academic, and financial profile information through application forms and official documentation. The selection process consists of two stages: 1) an application form with supporting documentation, and 2) an interview and a written essay.

March 23: Start of Interviews and Essays
