LALA’s growth and expansion efforts are essential to scale our impact across the region. These, in turn, rely on structured outreach processes that facilitate our market entry to find high-potential young leaders in new geographies. We are looking for an entrepreneurial candidate with Sales, Growth and Business Development experience to lead our market-entry efforts in Mexico first, and then Central America. Their mission is to build and nurture the key relationships that will enable us to find the highest-potential young leaders across the entire socioeconomic spectrum, while implementing innovative business development strategies. Success in this role means strengthening LALA’s brand presence, scaling our outreach capacity to find hundreds of high-potential Mexican young leaders, and paving the way for a decentralized LALA Mexico Hub.
Latin America has struggled to achieve sustainable social and economic development for decades. The many issues that afflict the region come from—and in turn reinforce—a pressing shortage of ethical, competent, innovative leaders in the public, private and social sectors. LALA exists to transform this reality. To do so, we seek to find and develop tens of thousands of entrepreneurial, principled, impact-focused leaders from all backgrounds, and to build a continental community of these leaders. These leaders will collaborate across borders, industries, socioeconomic levels, and the public, private and social sectors, to solve Latin America’s most pressing problems.
In five years, LALA has reached +1300 young leaders from 16 countries, 70% of whom come from underrepresented backgrounds, and 50% of whom have launched social impact projects reaching 50,000 people. LALA’s holistic approach to leadership development has led to an ecosystem of programs and initiatives designed to systematically help our young leaders overcome the barriers in their leadership journeys. The ideal candidate will be able to manage and oversee three important segments of our Expansion efforts: Sales, Growth and Business Development. The candidate will be in charge of:
Sales and Outreach
Ideally candidates will be willing to be based in Mexico City or Monterrey, since we are assuming these will be our main entry points to the country. Candidates should be comfortable with the prospect of local travel for sales and to strengthen partnerships. The role will likely also involve 2-4 annual trips to Medellin, Colombia, for team-building and strategic retreats.
Note that most of the LALA team has been working remote since the Pandemic. Successful candidates will demonstrate that they can thrive in this way of working.
